Amap English Navigation App
Amap, a major Chinese digital map and navigation service, has released an English-language version of its app to assist international visitors traveling in China.
The app, available on the App Store and Google Play, includes English names and descriptions for attractions, restaurants, accommodations, and other key locations. It maintains features such as lane-level navigation and traffic light countdowns to support users in navigating local transport systems.
Xiamen Transport QR Code
The Xiamen Public Transport QR Code has now been integrated into Alipay, allowing foreign tourists to conveniently access and use it through the "Transport" feature within the Alipay app.
With this QR code, visitors can easily travel across five major transport modes in Xiamen, including:
- - Metro
- - BRT (Bus Rapid Transit)
- - Regular buses
- - Ferries (residential routes)
- - Haicang Nongke public transport
This integration simplifies mobility for international visitors, providing a seamless and cashless travel experience throughout the city.
Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport (XMN)
Located on the northeastern coast of Xiamen Island, Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport is approximately 10 kilometers from the city center and serves both domestic and international flights.
The airport operates two terminals:
- - Terminal 3 (T3): Handles all international flights.
- - Terminal 4 (T4): Handles domestic flights alongside T3.
Travelers can access the city easily via buses, taxis, ride-hailing services, or airport shuttles connecting major hotels and transit hubs.
An International Services XIAMEN One-Stop Service Center is located at Terminal 3, integrating both existing and newly added foreign-related service resources. It provides comprehensive, 24-hour assistance to international travelers.

Xiamen North Railway Station
Located on the mainland in Jimei District, approximately 20 kilometers from downtown Xiamen, Xiamen North Railway Station serves as a major high-speed rail hub, offering rapid connections to cities across China.
Travelers can reach Xiamen Island via taxi, ride-hailing services, or Metro Line 1. Several bus routes also connect the station to different parts of the city.
Xiamen Railway Station
Situated in the heart of Xiamen Island, Xiamen Railway Station is conveniently located near the city’s main attractions and commercial areas.
